Basic Construction of a Plasma Television Display

Over sixteen million pixels make up plasma TV screens. Each of those sixteen million are made up of three pixel colors of blue, red and green phosphors, which are evenly distributed across the screen. Those three colors, in a variety of combinations is what makes up the picture.

Between two glass panels is where the plasma material is found and from where it operates. The millions of pixels make up a tiny images, by way of illuminated fluorescent lights made up of the three colors. Negatively charged particles and atoms which have been electrically charged, make up the plasma material itself. An electrical current passed through it starts the lighting process, then this is what we view.

Plasma TV's are at the top end of the scale, when it comes to price compared to other types of flat screen. But is there an advantage we clearly see with a plasma TV, compared to LCD?

Because of the flat screen, there is no edge distortion which you sometimes get on normal or CRT TV's.

The best thing about flat screens is the widescreen (16:) format, which means you don't lose some of the picture when watching your favorite movie! And you know how annoying and frustrating that can be, when you get half the picture cut off or you can't see the subtitles at the bottom of the screen!

The screen brightness is the same from corner to corner! With plasma screens, the bright and dark shades which you sometimes see on conventional televisions is eliminated. Because the illumination of the pixels is perfectly even.

In case you haven't noticed, you're going to save a huge amount of space with a plasma TV. The options you have to mount a plasma screen is much better than that of older style televisions. On a stand, flat against a wall where a normal TV would not fit perhaps?

Magnetic fields do not affect the plasma display. A conventional TV uses electron beams, which do get affected by magnetism, but as plasma's work entirely different. This no longer poses a problem. So you know that sound system you wanted to plant right next to your TV set? With a plasma, you can have the speakers as close as you like without it affecting the picture.

42 inch flat screen is a website where you will find all types of 42 inch televisions, in LCD only, LCD HDTV and plasma formats, which are great for any room you choose in your home.
